For the sake of environmental protection and sustainability in the hotel, we carry out the change of bed linen on request. Please inform the hotel reception of your request by 05.00 pm the day before. With this procedure we can sustainably save resources such as water and energy, and the environment is also less polluted.
We will also change your towels on request. In this case, towels on the floor will be changed.
If you do not need the daily room cleaning during your stay, you could cancel it. Please inform the hotel reception of your cancellation by 05.00 pm the day before.

Here in Munzingen there is one bank with an ATM machine. Follow the main street for 100 me-ters and you will find a Volksbank. Furthermore, it is possible to withdraw money at the check-stand of the nearby REWE supermarket (provided a minimum purchase of EUR 20.00 at the su-permarket).

Bar service in our restaurant “Vivothek” daily from 11 am to 1 am.

There is a bathrobe with slippers ready for you in your room.

For an additional cushion, a blanket or a towel, please contact our reception or the house-keeping personnel on the spot.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served as a rich breakfast buffet. Breakfast times are as follows:
Monday until Friday from 7.00 am until 10.30 am
Saturday and Sunday from 7.00 am until 11.00 am

Room service breakfast is available at a surcharge of EUR 5.00 per person and morning. The breakfast ordering form is enclosed. Kindly return the filled out form to our reception at the prior day.
Non-overnight guests can enjoy the breakfast buffet at a rate of EUR 23.00 per person.

Brunch

Bimonthly, every 1st and 3rd Sunday we offer a Sunday brunch buffet, starting at 11.00 am. The surcharge for hotel guests is EUR 30.00 per person. The regular rate for non-overnight guests is EUR 55.00 per person. Celebration day brunches are regularly charged with EUR 60.00 per person and the surcharge for hotel guests is EUR 36.00.

Bus – connections and stops

For advice regarding the bus schedules kindly contact our reception. The bus stop “Apotheke” (German for pharmacy) is right in front of the local pharmacy. You can find it by leaving the hotel through the inner yard and by following the main street for about 100 meters into direction to Freiburg. All local bus stops can be found on the enclosed map, marked with an “H” in a circle (H for Haltestelle, German for bus stop).

Children are welcome at our hotel. At our restaurants we regard the food requests of your children.
Baby cots and extra beds for your hotel room can be booked additionally. The rates depend on the children’s age. Some rooms are equipped with couches, which can be set up as extra beds.

Church

The catholic church Saint Stephan next to the hotel is run by the local ministry. Further catholic churches can be found in the villages around Munzingen, e.g. in Opfingen and Waltershofen.
On top of the Tuniberg is the catholic Saint Erentrudis chapel. The view from the chapel is worth the walk up the hill. The exact position of the chapel is mark no. The next Lutheran church is to be found 2 kilometers away in Tiengen.

The local post office can be found in 300 meters walking distance from the hotel. You may cross the hotel’s inner yard and walk along the main street into direction of Freiburg. The post office is on the right-hand side of the street.
Stamps and envelopes can be purchased at the reception. You can also hand off parcels. Your mailings will be shipped according to your requests.

Meeting and banqueting facilities

Our hotel offers six meeting rooms, one large ball room, which can be divided into two small-er ball rooms, the Zehntkeller, a vaulted basement room beneath our Herrehus and in the first floor of our Herrehus is the Herrehus room also available for meetings or other
festivities.

Munzingen

Our hotel is located in Munzingen. Munzingen is situated at the south east tip of the Tuniberg.
The village’s landmark be seen from far is the Saint Erentrudis chapel. Formerly independent, Munzingen was suburbanized to the city of Freiburg in 1973. Today it is Freiburg’s southernest district. Munzingen has approx. 2‘800 inhabitants and it is known for its wine yards and aspar-agus fields, which surround the village.

You can find daily newspapers at the breakfast restaurant and at our restaurant Limoncello.
Furthermore you can purchase different newspapers at our local supermarket REWE.

Opening times

Our hotel is open all year. Our reception is staffed 24/7. Due to security reasons the hotel en-trances will be locked from midnight on. Our night porter will open the door for you at any time. Please ring the door bell or call him under +49 (0)7664 40 70.

Parking

Directly at the hotel there are several parking possibilities, which can be uses free of charge. The hotel parking garage is also free of charge, but offers only a limited amount of parking space so if you want to make a reservation, it can be booked for ten euros per night.

The entrance to our smokers‘ lounge is in the hotel lobby opposite to the reception desk. For a good smoke you can retreat to the lounge. Our service will gladly provide you with beverag-es. On the lounge’s flat screen you may enjoy football via Sky.

SPA

Our Wellness-/SPA-Area is named Fitness- and Vitaloase. The indoor area and its entrance is in the basement. It includes several saunas (Finnish Sauna, steam bath, herbal sauna, infrared sauna, salt sole and a fitness room). You will find a bathrobe and slippers on your hotelroom.

The fitness room is to be found next to the sauna area and offers state of the art training equipment, a treadmill, a cross trainer and an ergometer.

Our pool is sized 25x4 meters and offers 2 swimming lanes. It is heated and can be therefore used all year. The pool with the its outdoor area can be accessed via the Fitness- & Vitaloase, the garden lounge and via all ground floor hotel rooms with terrace.

Taxis can be ordered via our reception. Kindly be advised, that taxis regularly need at least quarter of an hour to reach the hotel.
